Great to hear your story, Ron. I have seen the same thing. I believe it is vitally important to plant roots in a community. Many denominations do not make this a possibility with forced reassignments. I am blessed to be able to serve near where I grew up. I have been pastoring here for 5 years and plan to be here much longer.

One quick correction, I did not mean to make it sound like I had faced personal prejudice. I was more repenting than confessing.
